Experienced Open Source Specialist (ref: phpd10)

Function

As experienced open source specialist with Uniway you are responsible for designing and developing web projects. You use all of your expert knowledge and experience during the (technical) analysis, while outlining the architecture, during development of the actual web application and afterwards during maintenance. Projects include pure PHP web development as well as building complex sites with a high visibility around open source web content management systems (WCMS) such as Typo3 and Drupal. Your assignments will be both at the Uniway offices and on site with our customers who are almost exclusively located in the vicinity of Brussels. As seasoned professional you’ll be a driving force alongside your 2 open source colleagues in winning new projects.

Profile

Assets we would like you to hold:

• Higher degree in Informatics
• At least 7 years of experience in open source web development
• Experience in (technical) analysis and architecture of web applications
• Extensive knowledge of:
  • Open source WCMS (Drupal, Joomla, Typo3, …)
  • PHP development
  • Web 2.0 concepts & usual internet technology (xHTML, CSS, …)
  • Databases and SQL
• Knowledge we’ll value as aces up your sleeve:
  • LAMP stack
  • Zend Framework
  • jQuery
  • Certifications
• Customer oriented and service minded
• Excellent communication skills (both written and spoken)
• Dutch or French speaker with a good knowledge of the other national language and English
• Open to explore, assess and use new technologies
• Capable of working autonomously but equally efficient in team
