Sherpa.be E-ticketing and events portal

Development of the recreational portal www.sherpa.be.

This site presents the Belgian events calendar, which is updated on a daily basis (via exchange of XML files). The calendar is presented by theme and press articles are associated to recent events. A powerful search mechanism allows the surfer to easily find interesting events. An extended back-office application allows the administrator of the site to manage each detail of the site.

Two other web applications were developed as a complement to the website; a Point-Of-Sales application and a call center application. These were built to allow potential customer to buy tickets via multiple channels.

The synchronization of these applications with the central database is based on protocols such as SOAP and XML.
