Proxis e-shop

Proxis has been a true value in the online shopping landscape since 1997. In this webshop you can find more than 4 million products (books in English, Dutch and French, CDs, DVDs, games and software).
Proxis decided that the storefront and backend deserved a makeover, in form, content and functionality. They chose Uniway to help them to rethink the site’s foundations.
Uniway had to define the new structure and the new design of the site based on best of breed usability concepts.
Uniway decided to tackle the technical design and development based on the .NET  2.0 platform, making extensive use of AJAX  technology. Another technical challenge consisted of integrating with a new ERP system, which was established through the use of Web Services.

The result today is a contemporary e-shop with a light and easy-to-use interface focusing on making the buying process as easy as possible to the potential buyer using Web 2.0 functionalities such as ‘“my favorites”, “share”, “promotions”, “reviews”, “Long tail mechanisms”…
