Uniway was in charge of renewing and restyling the websites of the Federal Public Service Economy, SME’s, self employed and Energy. In collaboration with User Benefit and Indigov, Uniway has analyzed the existing websites of the FPS Economy.
Phase I: analysis of the current sites
Indigov surveyed 1000 citizens and 500 entrepreneurs about the existing sites.
Both target audiences attributed the sites the highest scores in terms of content, quantity and especially reliability of information. The accessibility of the information was most criticized.
Phase II: analysis and development of the future website
Besides the website of the Federal Public Service Economy, SME’s, self employed and Energy, Uniway also investigated the sites of the Belgian Accreditation System BELAC, of Ecodata, and of the federal authority on investments in Belgium, of the Crossroads Bank for Enterprise in Belgium and of the General Statistics and Economical Information authority STATBEL.
Objectively speaking the above sites are seen as the official reference for online economic information, however they are not sufficiently known to the general audience. As a consequence, they had to be made more transparent and user friendly by means of an efficient and intelligent search engine and a clear and transparent structure. This implied integrating the individual sites into a single portal site and rewriting the texts in an understandable language adapted to the web.
Uniway was also responsible for the technical requirements analysis, leading to a market study of the existing content management systems.
Tridion R5 was found to be the most suitable candidate web content management tool for the implementation and management of the above websites. FPS Economy appointed Uniway as its implementation partner for its website.
